Swan Racing is re-evaluating its two-car venture in NASCAR’s premier series after sponsorship failed to materialize.

The Sprint Cup team, which has fielded Toyotas for rookies Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt, released a statement Thursday that said Swan was “in the process of reviewing its current situation and the ability to continue to compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Continue reading

Wethersfield racing driver Frank L’Etoile Jr. and his #33 DARE Stock team are looking to take up residence at Stafford Motor Speedway’s most valuable piece of real estate – NAPA Victory Lane – in 2014.

Stafford’s long-awaited season kicks into gear over the weekend of April 26-27th with the Spring Sizzler event. “I think we can come out and win. I don’t see any reason why we can’t. The car’s good,” said L’Etoile Jr. as he climbed out of his Chevy Monte Carlo after tearing up the asphalt during the Spring Sizzler practice day on April 12th. Continue reading

Waterford Speedbowl – Rocco Dominates 2014 VMRS Season Opener

The Valenti Modified Racing Series kicked off its 11th season with a banner field of cars on hand at Waterford Speedbowl for the tracks annual Blastoff Weekend. Keith Rocco scored a convincing victory for car owner John Rufrano following the 100-lap feature, wiring the race from green to checkered flags to finish off a big weekend for the second-generation driver from Berlin. Rocco won the track’s NASCAR SK Modified and Late Model features Sunday as well, tying a 54-year old track record with three wins in a single day at the speedway. Continue reading
